MOMO WINS BEST DANCE ACT That's right. We might have popped into town hoping for a leisurely beer with a chum or two, but we ended up taking home an unexpected gong. Hosted at AKA near Oxford Circus, the Glasswerk New Music Awards were a little celebration of all things unsigned. Supported by Musicfinity.com and various industry names, the night was a heaving queue of backcombed young hopefuls and some bloke from Bournemouth looking bewildered. |

Seeing the name across the screen at the front when I sauntered back upstairs with a San Miguel was a bit of a surprise. After all, Momo's done no consolidated promo for Timo yet. But it's always nice for someone in the industry to basically tell you you're doing okay at what you do. Branding and publicity for The Golden Age of Exploration is underway as the final few mixes take shape. Limited release of the long-awaited new album is likely to be in the new year, to coincide with the 30 Days Of Musicfinity tour – details soon. But, just to be cheeky, I've popped a little exclusive mix from it onto MySpace. |
